Christmas Day

Christmas day started with a log cake for breakfast. It is actually a strawberry mousse cake. Then i went to catch Alvin and the Chipmunk. The chipmunks are so incredibly cute especially Theodore..hehe..

I decided not to go down to Orchard this time round. So, we decided to go to one of the suburban shopping complex in Sg and we went to Northpoint in Yishun. In less than half hour, one can practically make a random round around the whole shopping mall. There's an Espirit outlet store there but their stocks are almost similar to the ones at the Queenspark outlet store.

After meeting up with HW and shop around the mall for another hour or so, we went to the Esplanade since HW had not been there for the past few days. By the way, at Raffles City Shopping Centre, which is exit A fr City Hall mrt station, there's Chippy crispy chicken, known also as British most popular take away. Their chickens are basically like Uncle Bob's style, but they cut up the chickens into very small pieces and if u opt for the spicy 1, the whole packet of chicken pieces will be bathed in chilli powder. Well, i personally quite like this because i like the taste of the chicken that goes with the cheese sauce and i think their chickens are crispy enough.

And u can dip it into this cheese sauce

We also tried the fried mars bars fr Chippy. The Mars chocolate bars are fried and they are served with a choice of vanilla or chocolate ice cream. The taste of cold and hot and sweet altogether makes this snack a must try..unless u dont like sweet..hehe..

And of course, a few more donuts fr Donut Factory. There's a new flavour that we previously did not try, its a chocolate donut in a love shape with lemon filling. Hmm..i tink the whole combination tasted pretty weird.

On the way to the Esplanade, we saw this road sign...

CONNAUGHT drive! a road in SG having the same name as the Garden we live in..no big deal, but we were fascinated at the 1st sight we saw it

The walk to the Esplanade fr City Hall is quite an interesting one because we saw this other memorial monuments along the way...

Japanese memorial monument

We just tot this fountain is beautiful

Another monument in memory of the Indian national armies if im not wrong

Esplanade fr the opposite of the road

The Ministry of Bell were putting up a performance using hand bells inside the Esplanade

After we cross the underpass and in front of the Esplanade

As time was running out, we quickly stopped by the Sg riverside and make our way to Bugis. Bugis Junction was already closing by the time we got there and Bugis street was almost closing too. So, did not shopped for anything there.

We got back to JB past midnight and practically plunked into bed after right shower. But seriously, Christmas in Singapore is so beautiful. :)
