School Health Programme

Yesterday was mooncake festival or the Mid Autumn festival. A few of us were at Pantai Batu Buruk playing lanterns and candles and obviously we were the only non-Malays playing there. Not like there were any Malays playing either. haha..

One of the must-haves during mooncake festival : the lanterns..but nowadays lanterns are getting so modern that they come in various shapes and forms from the traditional paper ones to battery-operated ones

Of course, the other must-must haves are the mooncakes! I had my sufficient dosage of mooncakes but i did not had any with the yolk, my fav part of the mooncake! haha..

Neway, as part of our comm med posting this rotation, we went school visiting today as part of the school health programme. Of course, we don't just visit the school, we also did some simple routine examination for the primary 1 and 6 students. The sch that we went today is SK Gondong, which is about 20 minutes from Marang.

After the primary school visit, we moved on to a kindergarden which is just 5 minutes away from the primary school. There are only about 10 kids in the kindergarden. We also did some routine physical examination on them and check their hair for lice. Medication was given out to those found with lice.

It had been enjoyable working around these small kids. :D
