Cry O!

Yet another posting had ended and today we start brand new with dermatology. So for 2 weeks, it will all be about skin skin and skin.

Psoriasis, eczema, psoriasis, eczema - both of these are like the commonest skin condition patients come in with the whole morning. Well, not surprising seeing that most of us also has eczema as our life long companion.

B4 we started our seminar in the noon, we had a chance to observed cryotherapy, which is basically treatment given by freezing the skin surface with liquid nitrogen kept at -196 degrees. (altho there are other types of cryo agents available, but HSNZ uses liquid nitrogen). The whole process is super fast one. In a blink of an eye, it will be over. Each patient only took less than 5 minutes to get their lesion(s) frozen.

So after the doctor had finished seeing all the patients, the curious me wondered if those tiny harmless-if-not-for-cosmetic-reason milia beneath my eyes can also be treated by cryo. I mean in my case, the milia are not obvious. Practically no one notices it one la unless they are like 1 inches away from my face maybe. And if i put on concealer, basically, they are very well concealed. If i dont tell u all, u all also wont notice one that kind. But one of the patient also had cryo done for her milia, so i just thought perhaps there's a glimpse of hope to treat those milia. Im not just vain because i want my milia treated. It's because someone once told me that the milia will keep growing and increase in size if it's left there and thats what worries me. (i will find out fr the doc soon).

Anyway the very nice doctor asked me if im interested to give a try on the cryo for those milia and i happily agreed. Although one session of cryo cannot possibly treat it cz it nd 'berpuluh-puluh kali' according to the doc b4 the milia can be cured with cryo. In short, cryo is not the best mode of treatment for milia. But anyhow, it's good also to experienced what cryo is like, u noe to put urself in the patient's shoe, so next time, u can tell the patient whether this treatment is gna hurt blah blah blah based on ur own personal experience. Which is awesome in my opinion cz u wont understan what others r going thru unless u been thru it urself, no?

As i said, the whole procedure was super fast one. Cz it was the eye area, the nurse uses the cotton tip applicator to apply the liquid nitrogen . And how does liquid nitrogen felt like?

It stings like crazy! I thought it was gna be nice like applying ice maybe, but applying liquid nitrogen is no ice baby. The minute she touches the cotton tip to my skin, my eye started to blink continuously and rapidly which is in response to the stinging and burning sensation felt. Damn pedih. Thank God the whole procedure is completed within minutes one. Imagine going thru that for more than 15 minutes.

Immediately after cryo was done, i can feel the lower part of my eye swell instantaneously. And no doubt, it was erythematous as well. Looking like in the pic above. While the stinging and burning sensation lasted about 40 minutes at least. Even up till now (7 hours after treatment), i can still feel some numbness which is actually a normal process of the treatment taking place.

The pic not took with fish eye lens one. It's a faux fish eye lens effect done with PS. hahaha. Altho the real fish eye lens pics are no doubt 100% nicer (if not no one will spend money to buy the lens dy rite), but u can fake it with PS too to bluff, erm impress ppl. I just learn how to do it. hahaha.

There's liquid nitrogen in it but cannot see from the pic with the cotton applicator.

See how much i concentrate in class. hahaha. This was taken last week during our ophthal posting when the UCSI crew went around snapping pics of us doing our stuff in the hosp. In case u all r wondering what my fren was doing covering his one eye and going so close to the patient, thats how we do direct ophthalmoscopy, the 'intimate' procedure i said previously.

A grp pic @ the end of another happy posting. Yay :) (pic took fr fb one so kinda blur)

Lastly, if you all have not hear this from Hitz, do hear this out from the crazy and funny duo of the morning crew, JJ and Ean. When i heard it for the 1st time, i cannot stop laughing. Damn funny can. Even after hearing it so many times, i still think it's funny. I din know the utube vid was already out until i saw it from Ave. So, laugh urself silly with their parody of Jason Derulo, Whatcha Say. :D

Deep In The Dark

You'll surrender your heart,
But you know,
But you know that you cant fight the moonlight
No you cant fight it
No matter what you do,
The night is gonna get to you
(Cant Fight The Moonlight, Leann Rimes)

Okla.. im just trying to be creative. :p

Cz Earth Hour 2010 just ended! And i was deep in the dark for an hour. Felt like a vampire when i turned on my lights just now. haha.

How was Earth Hour at your place, wherever u r? Honestly, i think it's major major fail here in KayTee (Kuala Terengganu, cz alot ppl actually ask me where is KT so yeah KT is Kuala Terengganu). At 829pm the whole city was brightly lit. At 830pm, the whole city was still brightly lit. No difference at all. I guess many people just cannot live without lights and the inconvenience of doing things in the dark like during power failure. Or for some reasons u noe, lights just cannot be turned off.

It felt like i was the only one semangatly wanting to off my lights. Sien only when u seem to be the only one wanting to do something and the rest of the people are not doing it. It makes one feels that since no one else is doing, theres actually no point doing it cz u cannot make a huge change alone. But luckily still got a few people semangat like me, so with our little tiny steps, hopefully it can contribute to making a difference as well.

But for everyone else who was in pitch black just now, what were u all doing? Im really curious actually of how ppl spent their time in the dark. Hopefully the labor room wont be bursting with women going into labor 9 months from today. *cz ppl naughty naughty around hehe*. Anyhow, since i wasnt out anywhere and i obviously cannot be studying, i decided to camwhore myself in the dark and attempt to blog. Like at least when people google Earth Hour Kuala Terengganu next time, at least if my blog pops out, then people will noe that there are still human in KT taking part in Earth Hour. haha. (last year Earth Hour was spent like this tho, click!)

I was trying to camwhore and finished taking all the pics in 30 minutes and leave another 30 minutes for photo editing and blogging which under no light circumstances, was not that easy especially the editing pics part. Luckily my visual acuity is good so even with low light, visibility was still ok.

There's brightness on my face because it was the reflection from my lappie.

See, the Wisma Persekutuan building is so brightly lit. Scary not this pic? Like some horror movie poster le. Jeng Jeng. haha

And i cut my fringe again today. Can see not shorter dy compared to my previous pics? Waste another RM 5 but it was getting long and poking into my eyes. Very annoying already and i don wna risk my eyes to all the conjunctivitis, uveitis, all the -tis-tis because of the bacteria entering my eyes from my hair. But i realized the price for hair cut here in KT is the same as KL only. More expensive than JB samore padahal not as canggih as KL or JB. Super bluff ppl one. The first saloon i went actually told me need RM 10 to cut my fringe. Daylight robbery. KL also RM 5 only for the normal saloon. So i went back to the one i always go even tho she only know how to cut basic fringe pattern. I mean basic fringe i also can trim myself la. I waste money for people to trim because i want them to trim got pattern one. So anyway, i told the lady to just follow back my previous shape and trim it shorter only. I miss my hairdresser in JB la. So good at cutting, can give advise samore what style all, make sure customers feel happy and satisfy and so much more cheaper.

The view from outside my hse. As you all can see, there are lights everywhere. No Earth Hour semangat-ness.

I think ultimately the take home message is that, we should all try to switch off our lights whenever we are not in use. Not just today, not just in this one hour. Earth Hour is just a universal thing to raise awareness. So, yeah, in the end, to help save our earth and prevent global warming, it's not something that you just do in an hour. It's something you shd practice all the time la, DONT WASTE ELECTRICITY unnecessarily. And we shd all car pool more and stop using air con like really. Or turn all air con to 28 degree and above like in Japan. (the guys in my grp shd go stay in Jap so wont complain that the aircon is not turn at 16 degrees in class :p)

I was very impressed when i was in Tokyo and altho it was hot hot summer, altho everyone was sweating like crazy, their air con was only on at 28 degree cz it's part of their national effort to conserve energy. Like at higher temperature, less carbon dioxide is emitted, so less global warming, smt like dat.

Anyway this is totally unrelated to Earth Hour, but look, my lovely right toe is hematoma again. Gahh. Just after recovering from it's previous injury (read here) few months ago, it's hematoma again. Wonder when it is gna peel off. So sad i cannot have pretty nails to paint. So black compared to the rest of my toes. So Earth Hour! (its related after all) hahaha.

Due to this - Captain Ball. Which reminds me, wheres our medals? :p

Being A Woman

Being a girl or woman is definitely not easy. Just because we have XX instead of XY, it makes all the difference.

Because being a girl/ woman means we are more meticulous by nature when compared to our male counterparts.

And when we are more meticulous, it makes us the ones who nags and not the one who is being nag at. Guys only know how to complain that women loves to nag at them. But the truth is we women don like to nag also one. Nagging is not fun at all. But we have to cz the guys compel us to.

Imagine a woman spent an entire afternoon cleaning the house, keeping it shiny and neat and the minute the guy walks into the house, he simply chuck his shoe around, remove his socks and let it fly in all directions. Take a magazine, read a page and then leave it lying around. Move to the table, pull out a chair then decided to shower 1st, so walked off without putting back the chair. Now, tell me does he deserves nagging anot? How can the woman not nag right?

Being a girl or woman also means we have to spent more time getting ready b4 going out because we are always spoilt for choice. Yes, we have an entire wardrobe to chose from but yet, thats the effing headache part. The wear the same clothes each time you go out thing just dont work for us. And we have to make sure we look all pretty and nice (okla not all but vain ones like me) so we need to spent time taking care of ur skin, make up, groom hair etc.

Being a girl also means we are more prone to danger? like we are always the easier prey. Like people will be more interested to kidnap a girl than a guy. wth but yeah.

But the most freaking thing about being a woman is that we will have to suffer at least once every month, which means like from the age of menarche till we menopause, 12 times a year, we will have to go through the same ritual of abdominal cramping, mood instability and accompanying headache sometimes. The cramp can be so bad at times that no amount of warm compression can help and we eventually have to subject ourselves to NSAIDs. And because we take more NSAIDs, we will then have higher risk of developing all the NSAIDs side effects more than men. The cramp can be so bad that all we can do is lie in bed, praying that it will go away. The pain can be so bad that u wish u are a guy instead. At least thats what i wish sometimes. Because at least if you are a guy, can save all these trouble of period cramp and all the nonsense. Like from morning right up till now, the only productive thing im doing is probably this. Typing this out. Cz i had been hot compressing myself the whole day.

And being woman also means that we have to put ourselves at risk when we are pregnant and as tho figure distortion and the risks are insufficient, we have to go through labor pain which is the most extreme type of pain i suppose. Seeing those women screamed in pain in labor ward is enough for me to just imagine how painful it is.

Thats why whatever the women says, she will be always right. Because she already need to go through all these 'sufferings' of being a woman which men will never understand, men should just let them be right and stop complaining about women loving to nag. :)

Leopard Print Gaga

Leopard print are everywhere these days; in all colors, forms and size. It is definitely still one of the most dominating and prominent trend here in Malaysia with the growing of other animal prints of course. Blogshops, boutiques, departmental stores, clothing stores chain, wherever - u'll definitely be able to find at least 5 items that has leopard print on them.

It's like leopard print is a must-have for any fashionable, chic, trendy and glamorous girl today. Like unless you possess at least one leopard print item in ur wardrobe, you are so grandmum's time. Ah well, even grandmums today keep themselves fairly up to date over the latest fashion fad.

Undeniably, i was no exception. U noe being fashionable and stuff. *ahem*. haha. What was once something that are only found and remain put in mum's wardrobe was rapidly making me going gaga over them. In no time, i was turned to the dark, no i mean the wild side too. :p No, im not in any way alike Miss Boomz and Shingz tho. lol.

There's just an explicitly unexplainable affinity i have towards these leopard prints. It's like when i c them, my mind go all flip flop and butterflies started fluttering in my stomach. I can just feel them calling my name. Like telling me they want to belong to me, that their home is in me. Leopard print is just so glamorous, bold, cool and fun. Of course, not everyone likes going head over heels in leopard all the time. Me prefer to usually have max 3 leopard print stuff on me for any one time.

#1- The pioneer of the leopard print gaga - my first leopard print from Zara. My make up was leopard inspired too. :p

And of course, it didn't stop just there then. Leopard print started dominating like a virus and the more i c, the higher my affinity grew. Until well, i practically own quite a number of leopard's stuff in my wardrobe now.

#2- I didn't purposely wna buy a leopard print scarf. Really one. Me and J randomly wanted to watch a movie that time but i forgotten my other scarfs and jackets so i had to buy a scarf to provide me warmth. And among all the scarfs i saw in that short 15 mins we had b4 movie time, this was the nicest dy. It's just meant to be one. Anyway, this scarf veli cheap only.

#3- I just cannot resist this piece. It has a sheer back and a sequined leopard front. How to resist. Such a steal.

See, under flash/sunlight, the sequins will bling and reflects the light giving off pretty glow. (on my arms, can see?)

Bought this from MNG and only wore once for like 3 hours. The thing is it doesnt fit me that well as u can see from the pic above (Cz MNG a lot of ppl and i lazy wna wait to try so i thought XS sure can fit me dy one). So, if any of u lovely girls out there is interested in this lovely piece, leave me a comment k? Since it cannot fit me, might as well give it up to someone else who deserves it.

Really love this top one. But i tink my shoulder too small so the strap part is kinda loose and keeps falling off my shoulder. :(

#4- Grey leopard print dress from Cotton On. This one terbalik from just now one. Bought XS but too small pula. So also selliing off. Condition still extremely good. Wore once only for 2 hours also. :)

I also love this dress alot lo. If someone buy from me dy, then i can go buy back the same one but this time my right size. :)

#5- Tube dress from Topshop. Another major love. This one not selling cz fits me perfectly. ahaha.

#6 - Leopard jacket from DD. He knew how much i was into this whole leopard fad and bought me this as a souvenir from South Korea. Very comfortable one. Made of good quality cotton that keeps me snugly warm.

#7 - Bodycon skirt from Cotton On. They are just too irresistible lying there waiting for me to put them on.

#8 - Front view of the jacket and skirt. 2 combination is not too complex yet i think.

#9 - Leggings from Mezzaninetime (blogshop)

#10 - Mini handbag. For coins or small items. I think they are just sooo cute. Plus there's chocolates inside them so u finish the chocolates and keep the bag. Double happiness. That makes me a very happy Alli. haha

#11 - Earrings from Nenenebubu (blogshop). A very pretty pair definitely worth the buy with good quality.

I just need a pair of leopard sunglass, shoe, belt, headband, bracelet and bag and voila, i will have a complete leopard print collection. haha.

The thing is, im resisting myself from buying anode leopard print stuff from now on. Cz i think it's one too many leopard item that i have for now. Now when they are calling out to me, i have to wave them goodbye. No choice. Unless they are an absolute unique mind boggling piece or bag or shoe that will make all girls go 'Whoa'. ;p

Anyway, im really letting go of the top in pic #3 and dress in pic #4 even though with a heavy heart. So interested fashion queens out there, do leave your name and email in the comment b4 i change my mind. hehe.

And i honestly think there are girls out there who are more gaga over leopard print than me. Fans of leopard print, do share it with me. I wna noe how many leopard print u all have. hehehe :)

Awesome Place to Nom Around Lake Kenyir

Remember the uber awesome place i promise in my previous post? (click here)

After a very unsatisfying lunch, we decided to asked our friendly boatman of anywhere around Kenyir we can go for a reasonable and more satisfying meal. And much to our delight, he told us that not far from Lake Kenyir, there is indeed a restaurant we can go that serves not only good food but at reasonable price too.

So when our tummy starts sending us signals for dinner, we took Rambo through a whole stretch of bumpy, jerky ride in total darkness to this secret place. Really secret one lo. Cause we had no idea where it was and all the boatman told us was it was opposite a school and near to the T junction and it is only about 15 minutes drive. Which means it should be just 5 km away like dat. But driving blindly (cz i only caught part of the name of the restaurant. The boatman Terengganu accent was too thick ^^)  in the dark, with only the occasional oncoming cars, we were left with no one else but ourselves. And quite scary actually. Cz you look front, back, left, right only got trees, trees, trees, trees shadows and more trees. But being the adventurous ppl we are, the fear was soon driven away and we finally saw our destination.

Actually along the way, there are quite a number of Malay stalls and restaurants too and we almost stopped at one of them thinking it was the one but according to the rule of the Thumb and instinct, it just doesn't felt right so we drove on.

Finally reached secret restaurant. I realized that it was actually quite easy to recognize the restaurant. It is actually located right after the T junction where the sign that points into Lake Kenyir is situated. And if you are coming from that direction, you can definitely see this 'Welcome' board on your right.

And it is called SERI KELAH. hahaha. But their signboard not very big, so easily miss especially in the dark.

Reasonable price range

I think this restaurant is actually very nicely set up despite being in the middle of nowhere, it felts really cosy. It has this kampung feel that is very nice la. Even the 'floor' is filled with sands so it felts like eating on the beach. haha

Dragon fruit and guava juice. Owner claim they onli use 100% fresh fruit.

I tried this Tomyam Special Fried Rice. Special cz got keropok, egg and watermelon. hehe. (shh tel u anode secret - actually everything on the menu is available in 'special' only. They dont serve 'normal/biasa' anymore). Honestly, i really like this. It's more on the spicy side tho cz a lot of those hot cili padi in them. Everytime i terate a cili padi, i can feel blood shot up my brain and mucus started flowing like pipe water. But it's really quite an exciting feeling. haha. It's like even though u pant like crazy and feel the numbing effect but it is damn shiok.

USA style fried rice - not as exciting as my tomyam. hahaha. Served with coleslaw and paprik.

Actually the ala carte portion itself is sufficient to make one full under normal circumstances, but we were famished. And from the name itself, you know that this restaurant is famous for their Kelah fish (ok just googled and found out that Kelah is Red Mahseer or known as Great Brook Carp).

Now if you all dont already notice, DD has a tendency to order like a king one. He goes to a restaurant, especially a new one that we never been, and he will order this and that and this and that, almost half the menu for the both of us only sometimes. He claims that we can then try more things and make up our mind if the restaurant is worth more revisits or what to tell our friends on whats good whats not. And being the black hole he is, he will by hook or crook finished up every single item on the table. Thank God, his 'king' habit is gradually decreasing. But anyway, we were so tempted to tried out their fishes. And since Kelah is so expensive, we ordered the cheapest fish instead. Got our source of protein enough dy and most importantly got fish to eat. hehe

Chef's recommendation - Supposed to be Fried Kelah Seri Kelah. Means they concoct their own secret sauce and condiments and don wna ppl noe so it's call the Seri Kelah recipe. But ours is Fried fish (don ask me what fish.. bad at fish types) Seri Kelah. This secret sauce of theirs is sourish yet sweet with a tinge of spiciness. A bit like fried fish Thai style like dat. The fish also very fresh. Yum yum.

Boneless chicken cooked in paprik style - the paprik also quite good. But a bit too oily onli.

Overall, we had a very good dinner. Happy, satisfied and totally worth the drive. It is really a good place to eat, probably the only one available around Lake Kenyir unless u wna br ur own food. The better news is that they are also open in the day so lunch n dinner, you can have it here and save a bunch of money.

When we drove passed it the next day in the afternoon, actually it is not really a secret place la. Cause easily seen once u turn the T junction and there's really the school nearby and easily visible. hehe. Enjoy the next time u r around Kenyir. Maybe u all can try the Kelah then. :)

Lake Kenyir

Finale. I have time to blogged bout Kenyir after my last poop's post. Been busy with uni so thank you for your patience everyone. :)

Me went to Lake Kenyir (henceforth Kenyir) bout a fortnight ago when we had a long weekend because the Thurs was the installation of Sultan Terengganu day or smt. Of course at that time we did not anticipate any further event or activities and decided that a short weekend getaway to Lake Kenyir will be our last rejuvenating activity b4 we start to study for our exams. We all know how stressful exam period can be right. Yup, so it's like a pre exam de stress holiday. Gah, excuses! Anyhow things are really unpredictable one la.

Kenyir is just about an hour drive away from Kuala Terengganu town and we used the Kuala Berang way. The road after the Tasik Kenyir signboard is in a pretty bad condition currently with no signs of any reconstructing going on in the near time. Luckily we had Rambo (It's DD's car actually. It is one tough cookie that has brought us thru many rough kilometres enduring potholes, rugged weather and some other nearly impossible feat most of its counterparts probably never attempted, hence it truly deserves the name) to go through those potholes and bumpy ride with us.

But after being jolt up and down, down and up in our seats for about 20-30 minutes, we finally reached Lake Kenyir/ Tasik Kenyir. Lake Kenyir, reputed to be one of the largest man made lake in not only Malaysia but the world. It is also Malaysia largest hydroelectric dam. A super duper heavy rain aeon years ago submerged the whole forest leaving those hills that peak out from the water the 'islands' they are now on the lake. And the whole lake is so super biggy it actually has some 340 islands on it. Whoa. Impressive kan.

Since it was a super last minute decision to go to Kenyir, the best way to assimilate the tranquility and serenity of the place is through a night in one of the many resorts available there. We cant do camping or boathouse cz there were limited number of people.

We stayed at Lake Kenyir Resort and Spa and it definitely has a very picturesque and magnificent view of the lake. So charming and pleasant to the eyes that i think the lake view is the only reason why staying in a resort instead of sleeping under the stars is more worth it here.

The strikingly charming Lake Kenyir. The pictures totally do not do enough justice to the real captivating beauty of the place. Just standing in the lobby digesting this magnificent sight is rejuvenating enough to any tired, stress out, unhappy soul.

Seeing the endless stretch of calming water reflecting the trees and sky above it just blew all my worries away. It gives a sense of calmness and peacefulness within oneself and for a while, it makes sense that even if technology never existed, we can all still live.

Lush greenery good for those overwork eyes and fresh air so luxury to the lungs.

See how still and appeasing the lake is. Looking at the formidable work of Mother's Nature, really felt like time has stop.

After checking in, our tummy was rumbling and naturally, our next instinct was lunch. Lunch and dinner was not provided and there was only one restaurant in the resort. In fact, there's no other eating place available within walking distance other than this one and only restaurant.

And it was the WORSE lunch ever i had. Worse in terms of food choice, in terms of price and in terms of satisfaction. Yes, i think what makes a good meal is that it can leaves customers satisfied and craving for more after eating them.

Lunch was buffet style and there were ridiculously minute amount of selections and it was like RM 35++ per person. Gahhh!!

Next time, bring ur own cup noodles or better still, continue reading my next post cz i will let u all in on an uber awesome place for food, nice and reasonable nearby Kenyir. Shhh.. exclusive for you readers only. :)

This was all that was available. White rice, curry chicken, fried chicken, Malay style fried omelet & some vegetables. Oh, there was beef too. To be honest, the chickens and beef was not bad la. At least it make up to a teeny weeny bit of the dissatisfaction.

The curry puff also quite disappointing. Crust too thick and no filling.

Cakes, needless to say as expected was an overdose of sugar. Eat dy all the ants sure come find u one.

But because the lake itself is so tranquil, pacifying and soothing, we were still happy despite the disappointing lunch. I mean i dont think anyone can get angry looking at sights like that.

Before we moved on to our activities, we needed some time to get our food down our gastric, so we camwhore around 1st. It was the dry spell then, thus the sun basically shows no mercy.

So, it's better to camwhore indoor, under the shade away from the melanin enhancing sun. hehe

This is call 'Boom Boom Pow' pose. Guys who like to mess around with girls, think girls are easy bully, think again. You are just about to get Boom Boom Pow from us girls. :p

This is call ' I Dont Know What My Bf is Up to' pose. Like really. He just creeps behind me and spreads his arm and i dont even know what is he trying to imitate. hahaha.. But funny lo.

'The Ayam & Musang' pose. I think majority of us had played that childhood game b4 right. Im the innocent little chick and he is the fox of course trying to capture me while my mummy is away. muahaha

The resort was a little far from the jetty but they have those golf buggy to ferry us to and fro from the resort to the car park and then we can drive out to the jetty. Actually, the buggy service was available throughout the resort so if anyone is really lazy to walk, you dont have to.

The boatman who took us charged us RM 100 a boat to Saok waterfall. Lasir, the most famous waterfall in Kenyir was further so it will be more expensive. Thus, we settled for Saok cz after all, all waterfalls are somewhat similar. And less popular ones also mean less people visit which in turn means less polluted by some unthoughtful human doings.

If you dont already know, now u noe where you are. :p

Enjoying the cool breeze. So ameliorating. I like to close my eyes and just let those oncoming wind sweep against my face and messing up my hair.

The rest of the boat ride was filled with rich greens and vivid clear water reflecting the vast sky above, those fluffy clouds and of course the green green trees. But no, we dont get to see fish swimming around.

The following pictures are all captured with diff shutter speeds for the diff effects.

They sparkles like crystals. I like.

Felt like we were actually approaching Jurassic Park.

Haha.. but in our version of Jurassic Park, there were 2 men trying their luck at their fishing rods.

Time for a little stretching. :)

The pathway leading to the waterfall. Can see the waterfall below dy. Excitement.

So pretty right these butterflies. A beautiful contrast to the boring background.

The waterfall itself. Not a very huge one but still exquisite on its own.

But well, it satisfies our senses and cool down the otherwise hot and humid surrounding.

The best sleeping spot ever. Love love love sleeping like dis. Find a nice shady spot with the sound of gushing rapids, chirping birds and a whole other harmonious chorus of the other inhabitants of the jungle as lullaby.

The water is so irresistibly inviting. The ice cold water from the deep of the jungle definitely sends a sort of chill excitement up the spine.

I had to say this cause i find such acts very disturbing. It just totally ruin the whole beauty of the place, whatever wonderful mood such tranquil place gave rise to. We all know that waterfalls had a few cascades usually right. And at every level, anyone can go there to just soak in the ice cold water or picnic or play with water. But what is really really important here is that, the person at the higher cascade should NEVER pee or spit into the waterfall. Dont they just think b4 doing such an irresponsible and inconsiderate act? For goodness sake, as long as you have a brain, you do know that your pee or phlegm is going to follow the flow of water and flow down down down and down, thus infecting and contaminating all the other holiday makers. I think everyone does noe this, but they are just too selfish anyway to care about others. Why cant everyone work 2gede to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of the place? Any beautiful nature will be ruin if all these selfish dumbos continue doing stupid acts like dat.

One such incident happened when we were at Saok and there were really just so few of us there that day. This guy who apparently after his swim, at one cascade above us, just spitted into the water right in front of our eyes. So d.i.s.g.u.s.t.i.n.g ok. We immediately pulled up our leg but thats not the point. Point is, he was definitely not the only one. Maybe some of you reading this knows someone who is guilty of doing such an act. So stop them b4 it's too late! Because if you go to recreational places like dat and see shit floating right in front of you someday, you will never want to have any part of your body to do with the water ever again. Besides, urine and phlegm contains a lot of bacteria that will contaminate and infect others. Now u noe why anyone can get UTI after a waterfall visit. We are just gna lose tourist if ppl continue to be like dat. Damn potong stim la. Imagine you were happily absorbing the whole nature crap and thinking how beautiful the whole place is and how u r gna recommend it to ur family and frends and 'BAMM', this dumbos just had to spoil it. They shd so be boom boom pow i tell u. Ban from going to recreational places like dis cz they will spoil and ruin everything.

After that dumbo spoil our perfect lazy day out at the waterfall, we left. On our way back, the boat man dropped us at this other resort (it shd be Kenyir Sanctuary Resort) that has kayaking service. We had to pay RM 20 for an hour of kayak tho for two.

We had to picked our own kayak, our own oars and push ourselves into the lake cz the other humans around seemed to had disappeared.

Of course, we picked the white one. hehe. Yea baby, all ready for some kayaking action.

This resort also has an open lake pool (means u can swim in the lake). They used to have those water sports like jet ski but now no more dy. In case u saw jet skiing on their website, dont get too excited. Cz got accidents happened b4 so now they had to take out the jet skiing service.

And after a chat with the life guide who is also a native there later on , he told us that the story about spotting a 'fish the size of a baby elephant' as claim in the newspaper some time ago was unfortunately so false. Just a myth. And i wish i could spot one.

It's my lucky wet day cz i got to do all things associated with water.. hehe.. After kayaking, it's back to the resort for swimming. Felt really really chun to swim, working those latissimus muscles. I know im not swimming in the pic, im just trying to see how long i can hold my breath underwater.

I think one of the most effective destress therapy is to stand under running water like dat and let those drops of water fall all over ur head, face, body like even in the shower u noe. Standing under the running warm water. Me like this kinda sensation la.

Last hues of the merciless sun. So happy the sun finally calls it a day.

Dinner was at this uber awesome place (in comparison to where we had lunch, this place was sooooooooo much better) in next post.

Another good thing of staying in a resort like dis is that, they provides games and facilities for you so you know, you kinda wont get bored, day or night.

After dinner, it's foosball time. Woots. My foosball skill improve dy. Yay yay. So happy i won DD two out of the 3 matches we played and we draw the 3rd game. Hehehe. Partially 'am gong' one la i think. Hahaha

We spent the rest of nite playing monopoly. Hehe. Monopoly is damn classic. Never grew out of it. I used to be able to sit at home whole day doing nothing but just playing Monopoly. Super fun one last time.

And i lost to DD all because of this Fleet Street. Where is it in UK? I need to go there and 'manipulate' DD's houses. :p

You can opt to cycle around the resort too but i think it's RM 10 per hour.

Breakfast was provided. To made up to the not so nice food, they have this superb lakeview to compensate. So even tho the tongue tells u the food is not good, ur brain wired otherwise cz it has such a positive and enchanting image in it already.

At least, they had more choices and varieties for breakfast.

And they had a lot and a lot of buns and bread. The good thing was we had bread to eat when some ppl don even have food. The bad thing was they were almost as hard as rocks. So these were just about the bread and buns we took. Dont dare to tried the rest of the selections.

Fried tempura prawn thing with sambal. This was the best among everything else at breakfast. hehe

Scramble egg

The balcony of our chalet overlooking the deer farm

Our chalet hidden so nicely among the trees and plants.

And more chalets down the road. So quaint.

National flower of Malaysia. Malaysians sure noe la. Im putting this up for the sake of my overseas readers or tourist interested on learning more about Msia that stumbles across my blog.

These are the Indonesian deers in the deer farm i mentioned earlier.

Me taking him taking them.

They so cute. Know how to look at the camera too.

Since they also like to take pic especially the middle one, take another pic with them. hehe

Actually our hotel is a really nice one albeit the fox's poops. This pool itself is a major plus point.

And it's a two storey pool. If you dont like your downstairs neighbors, just swim upstairs and vice versa. lol.

This double slide is my fav. Slides are not just for kids. *shy*. It started off slow at first, then somewhere in the middle, gravity took full charge and your momentum totally increases and you just sped ur whole way down until you plunge into water. Remember to hold your breath as you hit water if not u r gna choke out mouthfuls of water.

We only get to relished our silly child in us cz there was no one else looking or rather bothering about us. Super cool.

Real or artificial orchids?

When i looked at his face and pose, i just feel like ROTFL. So cute la he sometimes.

Hahahahaha.. am i bad or am i what.. hahahaha

Last pic b4 we head back to KT. It was definitely a very good getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life and a very tranquil and serene place to rejuvenate and revitalize.

Very long post also. Took me one whole day. I know i talked so much but u just gotta read about them or just go visit for some appeasing and soothing scenery, a twist from the usual more popular beach and islands. At least my effort not wasted. hehe. And well done guys for reading until this point. :)
