Hershey's World

I fell head over heels my first Hershey's when i was 14. One kiss from them and it's enough to make me smile mad wide; 10 kisses and it'll induce a state of euphoria.

When i walked past Hershey's World outside Universal Studio the other day, i just cannot resist stepping into that place. Those chocolates from behind the glass walls were clearly calling out to me. I mean just look at them from outside, lying comfortably in neat rows from the smallest bar to world's largest, how can anyone not want to at least have a feel of these little devils. Heck, if only i can just grab one of each kind and packed them home.

Stepping in, the entire Hershey's family greeted me. Grandpa, grandma, father, mother, cousins, nephews, uncle's uncle, aunty's niece daughter. I had never seen a more complete Hershey's family. So happy to be surrounded by all the grinning Hershey's bars and kisses in all sizes, syrups, candies, baking chocolates and all the other Hershey's products. :)

Im truly madly deeply in love with these. My favourite of the favourite - Hershey's Cookies n Creme (take note pls hehehehe)

I forgot to mention that in Hershey's World, you can also customize your very own face on the wrapper of  either that huge Kiss or that enormous bar or both (wasnt concentrating when the promoter asked us if we were intereted) for SGD 15 or SGD 25 (told u, wasnt concentrating). Sounds kinda fun but we didn't do it.

Well, dont forget to drop by the next time you hop by Resorts World Sentosa to be immersed in the happy chocolate world of Hershey's. You'll definitely feel better after even if it's just taking a quick look around.   :)

There's Even Oscar and Hollywood Awards

Don't play play. And yours truly personally received 3 Hollywood awards. Don't raised your eyebrows just yet. Nowadays you dont have to be a celebrity to receive an Oscar or Hollywood award. :) Wait till you reach the end of the post and you see what i mean. (dont cheat and jump straight to the end k)

Just when you thought you see the end of Universal Studio Singapore pics, hang on. There are a few more. Remember those wannabes i mentioned in Part 1? Yes, after an entire day walking around, it's finally time for some shopping *eyes sparkling*. And thats when you can play to be Shrek, Fiona, Alex or whoever you want cause they are so irresistably cute. Well, at least u can have their heads or face or ear. haha.

Finally time for the red carpet and some lights, camera, action. (drama betul) Now you get to see some Oscar trophies and Hollywood awards.

Dont they look just like those real Oscar trophies? All gold, shiny and glistening.

Especially for each and every one of my friend out there, this is for all of you.

Even parents can present their children with an Oscar trophy. Imagine the whole family togede-gede 'haolian' their Oscar trophies. haha.

Done with Oscar, now we look at some of the Hollywood awards available. Now my turn to show off the awards i 'received'. Ahem but im sure my parents will agree to that. *muka tebal betul* Right mummy daddy? :)

I present this to my brother altho he prolly will never know it cz he nv read my blog one. :(

They only got 'Best Girlfriend' award no 'Best Boyfriend'. You know why? I dont wanna say la. Go figure. :p

CUT! How fun to be a director cuz whenever you feel unsatisfied with a scene, you only have to shout one word, 3 letters and everyone else have a dozen action and lines to repeat.

It's too bad that they dont have an oscar for 'World Greatest Reader'. Next time perhaps we can make this suggestion. hehe.

These are actually just some of the many interesting merchandise sold at USS. You can practically find all sort of USS souvenirs from phlush toys to schoolbags to shirts to luggage tags to fridge magnets to bracelet to water bottles to laptop covers to rain coats to almost anything. And see what i mean that anyone can receive an Oscar or Hollywood award? The miniatures of course. They are actually many more acknowledgements besides that few you see here. I think they make really cool and interesting gifts. Or just plain fun to get delusional with. 

As a whole, i had my fair share of fun that day. Although USS is not really a very huge theme park and it's literally enough to cover almost all the rides in one day (low season), I believe it will be even more excting and interesting when the 3 main roller coaster rides are finally open. Maybe by then, any of you who had tried it can tell me if it makes your heart do all those little gymnastic stunts while you scream your lungs off. :)

Universal Studio Singapore

Remember the Far Far Away land i mention in my previous post?

Now you all know where i meant - Universal Studio Singapore.Ok, so maybe it's not that far compare to USA but hey, Far Far Away land is indeed in Universal Studio. :)

I cannot finish recalling the countless Universal movies that i had watch and love growing up. I used to squel and hug my mum tight watching Jaws, felt really thrilled watching Jurassic Park (and all 3 of it's sequel), fell in love with Phantom of the Opera ever since, had a good laugh at Mr. Bean's holidays, move it move it with Madagascar, accidentally in love with Shrek and there's Back to the Future, Hulk, Van Helsing, Peter Pan, The Mummy, King Kong, The Prince of Egypt (countless more) and the latest, Despicable Me.

So of course, i was excited to find out what Universal Singapore has in store for us. And spending the day with 2 of the people really close to me and me love makes it an even better one. We took a bus from Vivocity (SGD 2.00 for a return trip) and after a short 10 minutes ride or so, we were dropped of at Resorts World Sentosa. We went gaga the minute we saw the globe trademark of Universal Studio.

* Pictures heavy post ahead :)* Cuz i was really happy that day and was in a mood to take pictures. And Universal Studio is a really awesome place for photography. I mean the whole theme park is so colorful and vibrant, it's almost a crime if you just hide your cameras. All pics are credit of DD the photographer and edited by me. How how my editing skill? There's this hats and accessories shop in New York that sells various types of hats you can wear to a dress up parties. Everyone was like camwhoring and taking pics with the hats but hardly anyone bought them in the end.

It was still the soft opening period when we went which means we kinda knew that some rides can still be close until they are proven safe. At the same time Universal Studio gave out food and retail vouchers (worth SGD 5 each) to compensate that. But, i guess we were still disappointed that the three main rides, more specifically the roller coaster rides are still close. I mean we were pretty much ready to let our heart do some somersaults, flip flops and let those adrenaline run while screaming at the top of our lung but we didn't get to that that day.Ah well, safety first so better be safe than sorry i suppose.

Wait, that's not all. I got some awards from Hollywood while i was there *ahem*. And Alex, Gloria, Shrek, Fiona and many more wannabe spotted. Hence, do come back and read bout Part 2 k. :)
