I'm currently down in KL and will be here for another whole week for our forensic posting. I'm so excited looking forward to start our first forensic autopsy because finally it's like CSI or Bones coming true from behind the i***t box. But not only do we get to experience some dose of CSI and Bones, we will also get to breathe the happy urbanization air of KL for one whole week. Definitely something that all of us very much welcome. hehe. It's such good timing to do some shopping for the coming CNY and to whack some really good food.

But of course aside from shopping, eating, movies and more shopping, eating and movies, why not spare some time to go catch a play too? Especially when you can also do charity at the same time. The KDU Pre-U department is organizing a play to raise funds for the Children's Cancer Fund which is under the guardian of Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya. Their play entitled O.M.G. which stands for Oh My Girl! is an adaptation of Shakespeare's the Taming of the Shrew.

Proudly a students production!
The play screens next week on the 26th, 27th and 29th January 2011 in the newly renovated Auditorium, KDU University College Damansara Jaya Campus. The details of the shows are as follow.

Date: 27 Jan 2011

Date: 29 Jan 2011

The preview screening on the 26th and 27th is a smart casual event while on the 29th the play would be screened in a black tie event where tickets are inclusive of a 3 course Italian Meal. Tables for the 29th Jan show are available at RM800 or RM 1600 per table with 8 seats on each table.

The Children's Cancer Fund or Tabung Kanser Kanak-Kanak aims to help financially disadvantaged children aged as young as 6 months old up to 17 years old to get access to treatments and operations necessary for them to survive the disease.

Did you know that a child with cancer needs at least RM 6000 to undergo a session of chemotheraphy? And cancer is not something that is cured in just one session. Thus, RM 6000 buys not only time but life for a child as well. By supporting the play, you will give them a chance to see what's beyond their pain.

Here's links on some videos (click here and here) which may help you to understand the cause of their event better; these are the kids whom will appreciate your time and thoughts.

Therefore, give what you can to help a cancer child. For the children, do support them in their effort to raise funds for these kids. Help more kids who have yet to learn their ABCs and 123s be able to achieve that. All profits from the play goes to the Children's Cancer Fund. :)

Tickets can be purchased from Kelvin Hong (0167536798) and Yi Lyn (0174060677).
